LAS 100: Centennial at Centenary

After a Centennial Decade of planning and after 100 years of operation, we are nearly there!  We’ll celebrate our 100th annual meeting where it all began in 1927—at Centenary College of Louisiana in Shreveport.  The 100th meeting will be a three-day event on the Centenary campus:

Thursday, 05 March 2026:  LAS Historical Marker Dedication
Friday, 06 March 2026:  LAS Centennial Science Humanities Symposium
Saturday, 07 March 2026:  LAS Annual Membership meeting with keynotes, posters, and presentations

UPCOMING EVENTS

  • LAS Centennial Logo Contest

    We seek a logo celebrating our centennial for use in the upcoming year.  The winning designer will receive a cash award of $200, a special commendation, and an invitation to the 100th annual meeting.  Desired features of the logo include representation of the Academy, Louisiana, and the sciences.

  • Peer Lecture Series
